Season ends with regional tournament

It was a beautiful day for tennis at the Division 1 Region 2 tournament held Friday, October 10, 2008 at the PCEP courts, with temperatures in the low 70’s and sunny skies. The Plymouth Wildcats earned seven points at the regional tournament, one point more than last season, and tied with Salem High School.
Congrats to Matt Dwan at #3 singles and Max Korpalski/Pat Bailey at #1 doubles who advanced to the semi-finals. Check out the tournament photos.
Ann Arbor Huron (ranked #1 in the state) won the regional tournament, sweeping all flights.
Final results:
- 1st place – Ann Arbor Huron – 32 points
- 2nd place – Ann Arbor Pioneer – 23 points
- 3rd place – Saline – 15 points
- 4th place – Canton – 10 points
- 5th place tie – Plymouth and Salem – 7 points
- 7th place – Jackson – 5 points
- 8th place – Monroe – 4 points
- 9th place -Temperance Bedford – 1 point
- 10th place – Belleville – 0 points
Plymouth High School Principal Dr. Mike Bee and Plymouth Canton Community Schools (PCCS) Superintendent Dr. Craig Fiegel stopped by the courts to watch and give encouragement to the team.
