			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Plymouth varsity tennis earned 10 points to place 4th at the Division 1 regional tournament held Saturday, October 10 at the Park courts. Senior player Patrick Onoro returned to play #1 doubles after five weeks off the season due to injury. Competition was fierce with Ann Arbor Huron, Ann Arbor Pioneer, and Saline High Schools winning first, second, and third place respectively.</p>
<p><img class="floatleft" src="http://wildcatstennis.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/tennis-regionals-oct09-190web.jpg" alt="Aaron Zhang receiving medal from tournament organizer Gordon Boetcher" width="240" height="180" />The big news of the day was #1 singles player Aaron Zhang making it to the finals for regionals.  </p>
<p>Aaron qualifies to attend the Division 1 state tournament in Midland, Michigan that begins Friday, October 16. He&#8217;s the first Plymouth High School player to qualify for the state championship.</p>
<p>Way to go team! Good luck Aaron at the state championships later this week.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For all varsity players attending the KLAA conference tournament on Saturday, October 3, 2009, meet at Novi Middle School at 8:00am (not at the high school). </p>
<p>Novi Middle School is located at 49000 West 11 Mile Road in Novi Michigan (<a href="http://bit.ly/121oTa">map</a>). </p>
<p>If it&#8217;s raining the day of the tournament, the tournament organizers don&#8217;t plan to cancel until about 11am. If the conference tournament is canceled, the team will take a bus on Monday, October 5, 2009 <strong>after school </strong>(2:25pm) to Novi to begin the tournament. We will take a bus back to Novi at 7:00am Tuesday, October 6, 2009 and play until the tournament is completed (indoors if necessary).  </p>
<p>School business forms will be given to players for missing class if needed on Tuesday, and again on Friday for the regional tournament.  Regionals will be Friday, October 9, 2009, all day at PCEP.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Plymouth boys varsity tennis grabbed their first tournament championship of the 2009-10 season as they beat three other teams on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Dexter Quad round robin tournament at Dexter High School. </p>

<p>Plymouth Wildcat players took home medals in every flight in their matches against players from Dexter, Woodhaven and Gabriel Richard High Schools. The Wildcats faced stiff competition from Dexter for the championship in the early afternoon, but claimed first place as #2 doubles team of Drew Leist and Ian Fleming and #3 doubles team of David Choos and Josh Heinze won their 3rd round matches.</p>

In the past, team members have met at the Plymouth High School parking lot, near the athletic doors, to car pool to the tournaments. If you&#8217;re interested in car pooling, talk with your fellow varsity players to organize car pool drivers before Saturday.</p>

<p>A fierce back and forth race between Canton High School and Plymouth High School for the championship took place throughout the day.</p>
<p>By the end of the tournament, Plymouth forged ahead with one point to win the championship and take home the tournament trophy.</p>

The Plymouth Wildcats earned seven points at the regional tournament, one point more than last season, and tied with Salem High School. </p>
